にほん海シアター

日本海に面した福井県高浜市の城山公園にて、一日限定で開催された町おこしイベント「にほん海シアター」のエントランスとシアターの空間演出を担当した。
木々が乱立している公園の元々の景観と調和しつつも、イベントの非日常を演出するため、流木を用いてできる有機的な形状をデザインの中核に据えた。
実際の制作では、公園に面する日本海に流れ着いた約200本の流木をビスや釘など使わず木々同士を絡ませるだけで自立させ、流木によって新たな樹木立ち上がったかのようなエントランスを制作した。

"Spatial Design Harmonizing with Nature Using Driftwood"
We were responsible for the entrance and theater space design for "Nihonkai Theater," a one-day-only town revitalization event held at Shiroyama Park in Takahama, Fukui Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan.
To create a sense of extraordinary atmosphere while harmonizing with the park’s natural landscape, we centered the design around organic forms crafted from driftwood. Instead of using screws or nails, we interwove approximately 200 pieces of driftwood, all collected from the nearby shores of the Sea of Japan. This method allowed us to construct a self-supporting entrance installation that appeared as if new trees had naturally emerged from the landscape—blurring the lines between nature and design.
